Ken & Susie

Susie and Ken's dream wedding breathed Irish. The cool weather on this June day even reminded us of Ireland's cooler coastal climate.

Shamrock green ribbons decorated the cake and bridal bouquet, Celtic tunes and vows were planned, and Irish knot tying was a key component of the ceremony. After their Smuggler's Cove ceremony, the trail to Yakatania Point was tempting. Since hiking boots were their chosen foot wear, they were up for a hike.

While Kate and I walked with Grandma and Grandpa, up the hill to the waiting van, Susie, Ken and their five kids hiked the rocky trail to Yakatania Point for more photos.

Paul Murray, their photographer turned often to snap action photos of the family as they walked. Laughing as they went, this family was well on their way to becoming blended.

We ended this picture perfect day with a cake cutting reception on my covered back porch.

The back yard garden of kale, peas, carrots and squash made a Shamrock Green backdrop as the cork was popped. A wedding toast was enjoyed by all, before they headed back to their cruise ship.
